After St David’s Prep

We are lucky in West Wickham to be surrounded by many outstanding independent, grammar and state senior schools.

It can be hard when your child is at the very beginning of their journey to identify the senior school that will best suit their strengths and character at age 11. The benefit of choosing an entirely independent prep school is that you can wait to see how your child develops before selecting a senior school for them.

As children move up through the school, we have regular discussions with parents and when the time is right, we can help you identify the senior school where your child will thrive most. Our pupils generally get into their preferred choice of school and we enjoy seeing them move on from St David’s and flourish in their new environment, the one that is right for them.

Our experienced team of teaching and support staff provide inspiring and engaging lessons that are delivered in a creative and purposeful way. Lessons are planned to provide the necessary challenge and support that encompass the learning styles and needs of all our pupils.

Children grow in confidence as they access our broad and balanced curriculum and develop the knowledge and skills to succeed academically. Our pupils are given opportunities to try new experiences, be risk takers, and undertake positions of responsibility as they move through the school. A culture of praise and reward gives pupils a sense of being valued as individuals.
