PLP takes the lead for September 25′

We are back with a bang this September, not only with our brand new buildings (more on that to come) but with a brand new programme of learning for all students here at St David’s Prep.

The programme is called PLP (Personalised Learning Programme) and it’s objective is threefold; Support, Challenge and Enrichment. At the end of each school day children are divided up into smaller learning groups, with a different subject matter explored each day for 30 minutes. These are things outside of their usual curriculum subjects from dance to photography, from touch typing to ball skills and so much more!

We are striving to ensure that every child receives the full support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. This includes targeted interventions in a range of subject areas where they may need extra help. This will encourage growth and confidence in all areas of school life. So far the response from the children has been extremely positive with many of them enjoying the opportunity to explore new areas of interest and gaining new skills. This is also a great opportunity for our staff to flex other muscles pertaining to their interests and hidden talents too!
