As a whole school, we gathered in the hall to witness an amazing demonstration of kindness and generosity as the full extent of donations was revealed. From gorgeous biscuits to nutritious soups via cereals and rice pudding, toilet rolls to toothpaste via razors and warm socks, the Salvation Army and Living Well foodbank will be extremely grateful to receive each item. Our challenging assembly was led by Rev. Liz Lander and we sang poignant songs, chosen by Mrs Pollard. Year six demonstrated excellent role-modelling as they brought each class to the hall with their gifts, they used their initiative whilst sorting the goods for display and later for onward delivery. They worked diligently as a team to achieve their goal and did so with enthusiasm and generosity of spirit.
