Science Week

What an amazing week we have had studying, researching, wondering, questioning and experimenting.
Early years mixed, observed and tested magic potions.
Ask Year 1, why eggs are ‘egg shaped’? and Year 2 the parts of a flower, after they had dissected them.
Discuss reflection with Year 3 or states of matter with Year 4, who made butter in a jar.
Year 5 made bath bombs which helped to identify materials needed to make an irreversible reaction.
Year 6 discussed evolution.
To end our fantastic week at our Friday assembly we were pleased to welcome ex-Davidian, Libby Jackson OBE, who is Head of Space Exploration. She told the children how when sitting in the St David’s hall at the age of 7 her interest in space began.
Libby told the children all about ‘Life in Space’, explaining how the astronauts spend their day in the space station and how ground control work with them.
So inspiring and informative, thank you Libby Jackson for coming to see us.
